One more question i have a 12a eccentric shaft that got a bit of surface rust i removed most of the rust but there is this small amount of pitting on the area where the rotor bearing goes I will try to put a pic up some time soon but i was wondering if i use 1200 wet aand dry and them some metal polish will i be able to use it ?

Can a shaft like this be reused

the rust is similar to this there is a bit of pitting over one of the lobes can this be reused ?

if you are able to remove the spots without doing any damage on the shaft prob,
anyqays you should meassure it

Oh ok any idea on the shaft after cleaning it has a slight amount of pitting dont want to rebuild and have problems
