i need help with my engine...

I own an 1994 Mazda rx-7 and its got a problem. the problem is that when i rev the engine to about 3000 rpm and i hold it there for about 3 seconds i let go of the gas and the rpm's drop down to 500 and it slowly goes back up to 1000 but sometimes the rpm just completely drops down to 0 and it dies.... any help on how i can fix that?

You might have better luck posting in the 3rd gen section and also doing some research on your own. The following link will lead you to the online FSMs.
