I have replaced my fuel pump on my first gen rx-7 twice already this year and its going out again. After driving for a while it will die and i can no longer hear it when i turn the key forward, but then after a few hours it starts right up. this is the third time it has done this and replacing it only seems to work for three or four months.....is there a second in tank fuel pump possibly???anybody got any ideas for me?????

 

12A or 13B? The 12A only has the one pump. The 13B may have another. I pulled my tank today to replace it with a clean one that was in the back of a parts car I picked up. I'm assuming the extra hose at the top of the tank on the left has something to do with the 13B. Other than that the tanks are identical. I'm just hoping the internal tubing is the same so that my tank will work.
