Whats up guy i have an S4 T2 engine and it starts fine and runs good but i hear it sucking in air from somewhere.. And when i rev the engine it revs good but comes back down in rpms slow... Do you guys have any idea of where it might be? Im lost.

try lettin it warm up then give some squirts of starter fluid in areas you think may be leaking and listen for idle increase, may help narrow down the search....

do not use starting fluid.danger danger danger. get a can of carb cleaner and use it to find your leak, much safer,BUT avoid the exhaust, it creates toxic gas when super heated, just use caution and moderation when spraying it. spray all vacuum sources first around the manifold/ intake. do not forget to check the brake booster also

You could try pressurizing the intake tract. You can check for vaccume leaks as well as charge air leaks and there is no chance of catching anything on fire. Just pressurized it to 10psi or so and spray everything with soapy water.

yea, try to stay away from starting fluid, that's meant to go in the manifold or carb not outside of it. my brothers engine caught fire cause of using starting fluid and it was almost impossible to put out, water made it worst and spread. use carb or break cleaner.

when you spray and idle gets rough then you found your leak

you can also do what 13B-RX3 suggested.

good luck in finding your leak
