Hmm

Ok so i've been into the rotary stuff for a while (~6 months) and i've been researching. And i had been thinkin about this for a while and i never oculd think of the right answer, so where better to ask but here?

What stops the rotor form spinnign the wrong way?. I mran, theoretically, it could go eiether way.

The only way i could think of is that the "apex" (not sure what it's called, the part that moves in on the oval) is offset a little bit so that the combustion will always cause the rotor to spin in the same direction...

that makes sense....but is that right?

Im pretty sure its the eccentic shaft that would keep the rotor from going the other way.The rotor goes clockwise I think,im not 100% sure though.Check out rotaryengineillustrated.com and maybe you can find out there.
