Talking Here's a new one.......

Lately my dipstick has been reading much higher than it normally used to. Let me elaborate a little: I changed my oil less than 1k miles ago, and it's now reading over an inch above the full line. Yes, the surface is level, and no, I did not overfill it. The oil smells only a little like gas, the oil is not too thin, and I do not burn oil whatsoever. I'm automatically assuming that it's my premix getting in there (1oz per gallon), but over a quart of it in less than 1k? Typically when oil control o-rings go, the engine starts to burn oil, but I'm getting the exact opposite. Also, this engine has like 10k on it. I also clearanced all my side seals within spec, and with all new o-rings, etc.
All I can think of to do now is to reroute my 1 hose going to the charcoal canister, over to my intake instead. The one opening at the base of the oil fill neck that is, because the only type of crankcase ventilation are the lower nipple leading to the charcoal canister, and the upper one right below the oil fill cap that is vented to the atmosphere. I'm also getting the "snot" on the dipstick as well. I know that means that I gotta reroute my ventilation line. Should I reroute BOTH to my intake? I stiil can't see how that will cause 1 quart of extra "fluid" to gather in my oil pan though is less than a month. Any input?

Brian

Well, I just finished my "ventilation" setup. I'll see if that makes any difference, and considering that I didn't have any oil on hand, I decided to just drain some out for now. I took out 1 1/3 qts. just to get it to the fill line.
