IIIMMMMM BAACCKKK!!! got a few questions
Hey guys, been a while since I have been around. I havent owned a running driving Rx-7 since I wrecked mine in december 03. Well, just bought a crap can 83 runner/driver for $350.
The car has the typical $350 car issues, but thats ok. I can fix most anything wrong.....
Well, accept for this one thing.
Before anyone gives me S*** for not searching, I have spent the last 6hrs trying to find an answer to my problem......
The car simply wont idle unless the car is cool with the choke on. Runs beautifully through the entire rev range otherwise. As long as I dont let it idle down were good.
To restart the car once its hot can be a PITA. Its almost as if its not getting enough fuel when trying to start.
If I stab the gas 2-3 times before turning the engine over, it will spin up nicelly, and slowley come to life, and eventually fully catch. If I dont do it just right< it will simply turn over and never start.
I dont have a timing light, so I cant check my timing. Fuel filter was the one on there when I bought it, but i plan on replacing it this week.
I dont think I have any vaccume leaks, but can only say that because I cant hear one.......
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Micah
