Help me write my Polemic..

I have to write a Polemic (argument) in my writing class. I was wondering if you guys could help me out in anyway possible. My subject is on an earlier thread I posted a long time ago regarding the 13b = 2.6 liters and not 1.3 . I am trying to argue the fact that Dave Coleman, writer for sports compact car, is wrong about the 13b being 2.6 liters.

Here is the old thread.

any additional insights or ideas on proving him wrong please post! Thanks a lot

Nothing to prove him wrong, but here's what I personally discovered:

From my understanding, the 1.3l thing was originally put into effect so the rotary could be exempt from certain Japanese tax laws. The displacment of a single chamber when the rotor is at bdc is ~1300cc (not including intake port(s). I measured it myself by siliconing a junk rotor housing, rotor, and end plate together. Not exact, but I got around 1300cc; this effectively makes the engine a 2.6l engine by volume of both chambers. But wait.... there's 4 more chambers. How to measure that? 7.8l? I don't think so. Why doesn't some smart guy (with some airflow measuring equipment) hook it to the intake of the engine and find out the actual air-volume it intakes? Settle this argument once-and-for-all IMO. At any rate, I'll stand firm on my 2.6l findings unless proven otherwise. "a rose by any other name is still just as beautiful."
