Help to identify this 13B engine (pics**)

My friend recently bought a rotary pickup with a 13b in it that has some major wiring issues. I need to know what year this 13b is and were i can get a wiring diagram for it. If it helps the 13b is bolted up to a cosmo tranny.

Thanks a lot in advanced

Also the years and what cars these came out of would be a great help.

Thats a frankenstein, mixed parts, mixed years. Look at the front rotor housing compared to the rear, the "mazda" logo cast is different. The rear looks like a real old school one.

Early 13B.

The rear housing is from a 74-75 RX-4/Repu while the front one has to be from a GSL-SE. Those housing will have the water jacket o-ring grooves in the housing, which limits what irons you can use. So it's either using 4-port RX-4/Repu irons or the GSL-SE 6 port irons (I think, not 100% sure if the GSL-SE's were 6 port or not).

Since its carbed, the wiring cant be too bad.

GSL-SEs were 6-port.

The wiring should be specific to the vehicle, not the engine, in this case.

looks like a Rx5 /RX4 housings. The motor had been rebuilt old NON nitrided irons 4 port say 1974-79 vintage. I wish my first Mazda B1600 ute looked that clean NOT! You need some work done there. These things are heavy weighing in at 1200KG dry.
I brings back memories.
