HELP crank but no start

Hello I am 19 and I have a 1988 Mazda RX7 convertible FC non-turbo 13 B It has spark/Fuel/Air compression is unknown can’t afford compression tester still in school. Graduating in 4 weeks. Anyway I wanted to know if I should check anything else that could be the cause of not starting before I go straight to the timing my best guess for it to turn on

If you don't have the Factory Service Manual, you should, the links are posted here. Also search for threads about engine flooding.

welcome to the board.

here's a link to a copy of your FSM: Foxed.ca

how long have you had the car? when was the last time it was known to run? how strong/new is the battery?

unless you have a solid reason to think the timing has been messed with, don't start mucking around with it - especially if you don't have a light. it can make things far more painful.

just so we are all on the same page, can you walk us through how you checked fuel and spark?

at this point it could be a number of things - flooded, ignition wires not in the correct spots, weak battery, injectors, bad grounds, etc., etc. someone here should be able to help you though.

The car was sitting for 3 years it did turn on. The day I went to go buy it owner told me it didn’t wanted to start. So I fixed the fuel pump and installed a fuel pump relay kit from deatshworks. Battery was new 3/24 but cranking over over maybe drained it a little. I heard fuel going to fuel hoses on the engine so I said it has fuel. I checked sparks by removing them from 13b but connected to the spark plug hose I saw spark on 4 of the spark plugs T and L

On October 1 the first time I cranked it, it came with a super start platinum battery it went well white smoke coming out of the exhaust and no start it was the fuel pump wires that were bad now that’s fixed

this time I crank it, it was way different than the first time I have videos but it won’t let me upload them here the battery date 3/24 is called super star economy battery.

i think it MAYBE be the battery(not enough power)

but when i crank it I floor it a bit nothing no white smoke or any % of wanting to start.
