on my 84 rx7 with a 12A, WHAT kind of gass mileage should i get. i went on a trip and got around 18 miles per gal. is that about right or could thay be something wrong.

 

18 on a trip sounds a bit light to me. My X is a 2nd gen N/A and an everyday driver. I can get 23-24 on a trip in mine. Things to check....O2 sensor, TPS adjustment (or function) and injectors (maybe need a good cleaning)

 

yea, check your float level, idle mixture, and definately clean that carb out a bit. HELL, i would rebuild it. then you should be getting atleast 20 - 22 on the highway.
