Trailing Spark Plug

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question.

What is the reason for the trailing spark plug?

More complete combustion - the "combustion chamber" is long, thus the extra spark plug

Trailing Plugs (anti-det-device)

Hey Zkeller you read my mind.

Here is my thought on the anti det device. I have been reading the different post on this forum for some time and I see a lot of people trashing this device when they have no idea what is and what it does.
We know that the trailing plug is used as a secondary spark to help the combustion and help clean up the emissions on the rotary engine. The problem is the timing between the firing of the leading and trailing plugs. Get this wrong and what do you have? A big mess on your hands.
So what do we need?
We need something that will do the job of the trailing plug and take the timing out of the picture.
So here is my thought I may be nuts.
I had seen a picture of the anti-det device on a post and Ill be damed if it did not look like a GLOW PLUG from a diesel motor.
Now with a glow plug from a diesel you have a 12 volt source to get them hot at start up. Once the motor is running the 12 volt source is no longer needed. The glow plug stays hot do to the heat on the combustion stroke.
So with the rotary you have the leading plug which will start the motor and get the combustion hot enough to get the (anti det device) glow plug hot.

This is just an Idea. I could be wrong but if you think about it I could be right..

If you read the other threads, then you should've also read my replies in them.
The ADD's are a band-aid fix for poor tuning.
You're sacrificing performance and power to minimize detonation.
Why don't you just add more fuel?
That's basically the same thing.

From what you're saying, it sounds like you're not too familiar with what the ADD's do and their relation to rotary engine combustion.

Why don't you go reread those threads again.
The arguments are all posted there.
It should make you wonder why people are against it.

As for the glow plugs, you need to go read up on diesel engine dynamics.
If you want to try, go for it.
Please don't come crying to us when you blow your engine up.
