fuelpump wiring help
Hey can anybody give me a guide to wire a new fuel pump. I bought a replacement for my project but it is one that has to be wired seperatly, which is fine because the old stock wiring was hacked up before i bought the car anyways, and as i am inexperienced i came to ask for some bit of help regarding this. I know i could get a proffessional to do it but that takes away from the experience of building a project so i would rather do it myself and with my friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My car is an 86 gxl if that info is needed.

There is a relay under the dash and just to the right of steering wheel called the circuit opening relay. It has 5 wires (3 on the top row and 2 on the bottom. Top row far right wire is Blue/Red. This wire powers the fuel pump (the wire runs to the rear of the car and merges with the rear harness which then plugs into the fuel pump harness). The pump also has a ground which runs to the rear body of the car. The pump also has two more wires. The one which connected to the White/Green wire of the rear harness runs to the fuel gauge (the rear harness connects to the front harness and the plug is called FR-02). The other wire connects to the White/Red wire of the rear harness which is for the low fuel warning light of the warning light cluster (this wire runs directly to the warning cluster).
