Is this the Fuel Pump Resistor???

1999 RHD FD,
Is this the fuel pump resistor that i need to bypass since im upgrading the Fuel Pump and installing a 12 gauge wire and relay to operate it. So basically do I just jumper the connector to it?

Yes. Cut the connector off on the resistor side, bridge the 2 wires and tuck it away.

It is crazy that the harness runs all the way there from the front really box and back, making the circuit vulnerable to damage to the front harness (like if you do away with your fender liners).

By-passing the resistor my increase chances of flooding the engine as it limits power to the pump under certain conditions.
