First post and an odd question
Hi guys,
here in the Uk rotaries are quite rare, but I love the principle of them.
I'm looking at putting a 12A engine into one of mini's, should be fun and pretty quick. Questions is though, what HP could I reasnably get out of a 12A with street porting, both N/A and turbo. ?
And what is the length of the engine + gearbox ? I'm just measuring up to see how much to chop out of her !
Currently the most powerful 1300cc mini, runs at about 200bhp. This is with an A series turbo. Be nice to detroy that with a decent rotary.
Cheers

200 hp with a n/a is not hard to get
turbo, 300 hp is within reason
as far as fitmit, keeping fwd will be impossible, but for a rwd, it'll have enough room, its been done once before

Thanks for that, Will,
yeah FWD will be impossible, and probably undriveable. RWD should be OK, though I'm going to hae to chop a lot of metal out of the shell to accomadate the 'box , exhaust and fuel lines !
I'd like to fuel injected rather than carb, but we'll have to see and have a useable 250 to 300rwhp

Paul,
Crazy! {yes takes one to know one}.
I'm hoping you post pictures of this project once under way. I'd love to see it.
If you were not 'accross the pond', I'd offer to come over to lend a hand.
When you get pictures up, PM or email me the link.
Happy Building & Flying!
Ken
