FD shift lever boot

FD shift lever boot

does anyone know how to change the shift lever boot that's in the middle of the shifter on a 93 FD? my boot is rip and i have got a new one from Mazda. there's no instruction on the OEM manual about how to change it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

you need to take the plastic centre console out , its held in by clips around the outside take a small flat head screw driver and maybe have a rag over top of it so you dont scratch anything . dont forget to unplug your fog/ ash tray light but youll see once its all unclipped and ready to come out .

once you get the plastic console out the boot is held in on a bracket with screws .

I have the shiter lever removed from the transmission. And I'm trying to take the boot on the middle of the shift lever off, which is stuck on the middle of the shifter.
