My starter went out in my fc I have a spare fb starter laying around looks the same. Hoping it works and saves me some much needed cash. Think it will work?

Yes, no problem, although the cranking RPM is a little slower.

I am assuming N/A manual trans.

I've interchanged just about every possible combination of SA/FB/FC engine transmission and starter.

Don't count the gear teeth. That way lies madness. It will work.

The only "functional" difference is some of the starters are threaded at the top hole and some aren't, so you may need to substitute a length of 3/8" all-thread and a couple nuts for the existing bolt.
