Hi Everyone,

I have a 1981 FB RX7 12a Bridgeport. What type of pipe diameter should you run? twin pipes to ?? then into single pipe etc?
Thanks for any information!

old school setup is either to run 2x50mm pipes, or to run 2x50mm pipes 2340mm (92") long into a collector and exit around 70mm.
in 2023 if you're using a collector, you might clamp the thing together and try different lengths and see what works best.

for example for my P port, i have a Racing beat header, and they sell pipes in 4 foot lengths. if i buy 3 of these, i get two 4 foot pipes and two 2 foot pipes. then just with clamps, you can try header plus 6 feet, header plus 4 feet, header plus 2 feet and then just the header.

i found with the P port it wasn't so much what i wanted, but its kind of a balance between what the engine wants and what the neighbors will put up with. this one time i drove it up and down the street before putting it on the trailer to go to Sevenstock, and the neighbor came out and told me it was loud enough to wake the dead, at 2 in the afternoon; the only dead people that sleep during the day are vampires...

Does anyone know what kind of performance outcome from running a single pipe per rotor to the rear no collector?

I done it for years back in the day. Daily drove it. Makes great power but it will be loud, no way around it without collecting into a big bodied muffler.
