streat pipe

Hi,
I got a RX7 1985 that I will put a used 12A, but when Im look under the car, I found that the old owner put a streat pipe fomr the motor to the mufler, so their any problme with thta configuration?

I think the only way it will be a problem is if you need to pass an emisions inspection.
Will probobly be pretty loud though.

I think he means "straight" pipe? like, straight-through, no resitriction....

Here's way, way more than you asked for. Paul Yaw, the RX-7 carburetor rebuild specialist, has written some comprehensive technical articles about rotary intake and exhaust.

But for a simple answer, your straight pipe will be useable.

And then the desire for more horespower will soon lead you to performance exhaust, about which so much has been posted here that using the "Search" function will yield tons of information.
