2.25" pipe should be totally fine on a stock port 12A

2" can be "louud" as you say. Been there, done that, twice. Once on the GLC and once on the baja. Both were 2". Both were loud and raspy. Never again. Now the GLC has 2.5" and it's a lot quieter. The baja is next, still at 2" but bigger mufflers. Then I might go turbo if I can't make it quiet NA. Still playing around with NA at 2.5" vs turbo at 3" or 2.5" / two big mufflers NA vs one big one and a turbo.
Any idiot can make a loud exhaust on a rotary. Only the smart ones can make them quiet and flow like they're loud.
That brings me to my next point. 2" can be loud, but can it flow?

What would be you guys' suggestion on this, a high RPM N/A bridgy 13B? It will be a track car, and I know it kills the power of a bridge to have poorly flowing exhaust

3" works, but its loud. my car blew 105DB, the sound limit is 103DB. i put a 2" buttplug in it, and didn't loose a huge amount of power, so i'd think 2.5" would work just fine. although you need to pay attention to the engine to header port match, and pick mufflers that flow enough.

Its going to be running a RB road race header with a RB dual midpipe with built in pre-silencers. It will collect coming over the axle, so Im thinking of collecting into 3" piping with a straight-through style muffler. I know it will be hella loud though, and Im okay with that haha, do you think that will flow well enough?
