Engine Runs through Acellerated Warmup when Hot
So I'm about to purchase this *cheap* 89 NA a state and a half away but I'm a little leery. I've been asking the guy some questions about the car, and he's been able to answer them pretty accurately, and I'm a naturally trusting guy so I think I'll go for this. The thing is, I had him run it for 15 minutes and shut it off and let it sit for 15, then start it up again, and he says it sputters for like 6 seconds then does the accellerated warmup, 3k for a little bit then 1500 then down to it's 900rpm idle. (I know, it's a little high but not enough to warrant a lot of concern)
I plan on rebuilding it but what could cause a 13B to run through that sequence when its already warm?

I think that's perfectly normal. Every time I crank mine up, hot or cold, it revs up to 3K and then back down to normal. If it's warm then it goes back to normal idle immediately.
