E-Shaft
Alright I need everyone's opinion and past experiences with the eshafts oiling system on a racing engine what mods have you all done ? I have tryed to search the forum past post but has had no success .

whats up ppl , I know there are alot of you that have the experience and knoledge and has had some type of oil failure on the eshaft and can give me the opinions I need for the engine build .

welll as for oil pressure I not sure yet , The engine is not being assembled yet . will be using 3rd ngen regulators , I would assume some where aroung 60-80 psi .

It is unbeleivable that out of all the members here on this forum that have the knowledge to aswers for my post and help me out with the info , come on ppl help out rotorhead give some of those secrets
that are being hidden

I can tell you that you can get higher oil jets. It just takes a flat head screw driver to get them out.

I know you can get your whole assembly balanced but not polished.
The Best way I think is the RX8 e shaft because it is lighter than all of them.
The thermal pellet is also another way. That is all I know of though so yea hope that helped.

oil system mods
I plug the front of the e shaft tight no oil to pass thru to front of motor, then i make a #10 aeroquip line from a modded oil filter mount drill and tap the front housing and feed the lube oil into the front section of the engine ,also i plug the top oil cross over passage ,so as to relieve the hydralic pressure that may build to push the housings apart. every little bit helps. i run about 110 psi pressure at 5000 rpm all components 3rd gen thx ron

hardened and 3 window stationary gears with deeper oil grooves
then high pressure oiling system
larger oil cooler
webber jets on the e shaft
cryo treatments on friction surfaces
oil baffel pan
Expensive oil
low friction coatings on the parts and clearancing to allow more oil flow.
Polish the inner front cover \
and the list goes on and on

OK, that is quite an exstensive list to modify the oil system. I understand the reasoning behind the baffle, the oil jet mod and the low friction coatings but someone correct me here if I am wrong:
But I heard that excessively high oil pressure is not good for and engine due to the major role oil has in cooling critical internal parts. Something about the velocity of the oil caused by the high pressure doesn't allow for heat exchange to take place at its full potential.
Sounds right but I am no road racer let alone an avid automotive crew chief or thermal dynamics expert.
