Slightly off topic but similar.
My brother is a gun collector and has nickel plated several old guns. All you do is hook a battery up to the metal you are plating and paint on a nickel solution. It has pretty good coverage but takes several coats to get a nice shiny surface. Im tempted to try it on something like calipers or something.
So 6$ for 7 square feet is outrageous for powder? It must be really cheap elsewhere then..

How would it keep moisture out of the air? IMHO the eastwood gun is better. And I love how easy they make it sound.
It takes a bit of learning to have a good PC job. Especially on parts with deep recesses.
