disabling the omp on a S5

What do you have to do to disable the omp in a 89-91. The check engine light or the limp home mode is not a permanent thing is it? Thats what my car was doing it would run but hit fuel cut above 2500rpm or so.
Do you just unplug the wires to the omp? What about the rest(check engine light/cpu, anything else).
Yes, I will be running premix once i fill up tonight.

haha, im joking. it aint easy though cause your ecu need the signal from the omp to work properly. atleast thats what have read. do a search to find out exactly what to do. i did one and found a few posts talking about what to do.
