difference between housings

ok, so how do you tell the difference between different series housings? the reason being i just build my TII engine, and i noticed that the housings that were on it were slightly different..one of them had a rounded thing above the T spark plug, the other was more square-ish.

i very much hope that this doesnt mean they were from different series, as i dont want to re-rebuild this thing. i dont see how it could have been, since it evidently ran fine before...i dunno..bought it blown...had thought that it was all original tho..sorta looked that way...

anybody know?

thanks
pat

As far as I know there is no difference other then maybe the exhaust port. They should bolt up and work fine as long as it was from another T2 or REW.

well...there is a timing difference between s4 and s5, so i heard you cant mix them...just wondering whether the different looking spark plug hole means its an s5 or not.

Just make sure the spark plugs are at the same height on both housings.
