Lightbulb Diff between hard top and verist ???

My big question of the day is
Is ther a diff in handling and performance on the two makes of the 87 thru 92 na
Vert gona b harder to drift cuz of reinforcements of certain areas and not as well balanced as the hard tops??
Or is the proformane the same??

Had to sell my old 87
But now getting another 1 woohoo
Just don't know what 1 vert or hard top??
lol I will b molding and drifting it so is ther a diff in proformance??

Any time you remove the roof of a car it is going to be a little more flexible. Mazda did a pretty good job with adding strength back to the chassis but the car has a pretty big weight penalty. The steel in the floor and rockers is twice as thick and there is a lot of extra metal added behind the seats and an extra cross member up front. Weighing two equally prepped race cars, one vert, one coupe, the vert weighs in over 200lbs heavier.
