Damn window wipers, they wont stop in the right spot

I just picked up a new 1990 RX-7. The car is great, and runs perfectly, but the damn window wipers don't stop where they're supposed to. When you turn them off, it just stops where ever it wants. I have to time it to get it to stop reasonably where it's supposed to.

Does anyone know what could be causing this. I don't have a Factory Manual yet since I just got it Friday.

Thanks.

got me, thats odd. guessing there is a relay or something that would bring them back to idle. the wiper switches in second gens are known for screwing up or dying quite often.

That my guess, some sort of relay is shot. I guess I'll have to pick up a service manual soon.
