coolant leak

coolant leak

i have 3 rd gen seven.now i can to look at my engine bay after a ride and i noticed i have a coolant leak.it is coming from the front of the engine.i think it may be the ast.im not sure cuz it doesnt have coolant on it.but the intercooler pipes do.any tips b4 i get started.im letting the engine cool right now.

Let's see, you waited 9 minutes between post #1 and #2.&nbsp You then waited 27 minutes between post #2 and #3.&nbsp Geez man, do you know the word "patience"???

If you're still running the stock plastic AST, they have been know to split and leak.

you should be able to tell where its coming from. jack the car up if you have to. check around the edges of the radiator for cracks. if its on the intercooler pipes, i could be leaking into the fans and getting blown around.? i definetly wouldnt drive it until you find the leak.
