cold start problems
I'm going to asume that you're talking about a 12a carbeureted and not a 13b FI. Are you choking the car when you try to start it? Pull the choke out all the way, crank it until it tries to start. After that, push it in 1/3 of the way (2/3 choked) and try again or keep it running. When you're driving, either push it in all the way (no choke) or 2/3 of the way (1/3 choked).
It should be cranking at around 250rpm. If it's flooding or not cranking at a decent speed, check your battery and starter.
