clarification on OEM oil seals

As I understand, oil control ring seals are universal. all years, all models, including RX8. There are green seals. (inner 0820-11-341, outer 1202-11-343) which are listed up to 95 or RX8 parts ( inner N3H3-11-C35, N3H3-11-C37 outer).

The RX8 parts are cheaper. both OEM. So whats going on here? Does one hold an advantage over the other?

interesting, they must be different material?

i think if you bought the new seal set N3Z1-11-S10A, then you would be fine using the Rx8 rubber seals.

if you use the original seal set, which would have been 8871-23-180, i'd probably run the old rubber seals.

the Rx8 also has different outer springs, probably good to upgrade to that too
