im changing the oil myself for the first time, and the oil plug is realllly tough getting off by hand. i dont have jack stands so the car isnt lifted, so im having a tough time getting good leverage on the bolt. i used the tire jack to raise it A LITTLE, but all 4 wheels are still on the ground. i have an air ratchet, would this be a wise option or not?

dumb question, but id rather ask than be crushed by my car or strip the plug.

 

nvm i got it... needed a little heavy breathing and elbow grease

 

1/2" drive socket and a long breaker bar. Should break loose. Whoever put it on last just cranked it down way too tight.
