ceramic rotor?

I know mazda used ceramic seals in its LeMans wining 4 rotary engine. I wonder if you could make a rotor itself out of ceramic?

Well, you can, but why would you?

I think it's time to look into Material Science books and find out what are the requirements for various components.

A real improvement to the Rotary Engine would be parts construction using a 3D Metal Printer. As an example, here's an F1 Engine Cylinder Head that a company I worked for did on their multi-million dollar machine.
