catalylic convertor installation
catalylic convertor installation
My 91 convertible needs a cat replacement.
Is this a simple job assuming the nuts and bolts aren't badly rusted?
Can I get the the manifold bolts with the car on jack stands, or does it need to be on a lift?
Do I need any special tools or will basic metric sockets work?
I'm looking a direct fit, one piece to replace all OEMs.
I found 2, one from Walker (Advanced Auto) and one from summitracing.com, both are about $165. Any other suggestions?

look on www.rx7.com they have a direct replacment by bonez. You can't buy just any old "Cat" for the rotary engine due to the higher exhaust temps and volume/flow... Do not buy a generic replacment cat or you be buying another one soon. the bonez cat will give you a little more hp also......
I also have I question about tire size posted, it did not get any replies. Is there any advantage to using 215/60-15, instead of the stock 205/60-15
