Car does not idle help

So I finally got my car started. It's a 89 13B NA But it does not idle it keeps turning off. If I continue giving it gas then of course it'll stay on but if I let it free it turn off. Anybody have an idea?

Is the car completely stock or has it been messed with? also, if you babysit the throttle until the engine is good and warm, does it still die when you get off the gas?

1st) use a timing light to verify timing. The car will not run of your timing is not set properly.

Once you at timing to factory specs you can move forward.

2nd) Adjust your throttle body. Someone should have a walk through of you search.
3rd) use a multimeter to verify that your throttle position sensor is working. Also check the tps is installed correctly.

Thanks. I will lookup tomorrow and start it all. I'm missing the front o2 sensor on the header I cannot find the plug off the harness so hopefully that's it since the car doesent have a reading if its rich or lean. What do you think?
