Can't get the engine and tranny to mate
Trying to get an S4 13B to hook up to a gslse tranny w/ an fc clutch.
When we line everything up and try to squish the engine and tranny together we still have about a 1/4 inch gap. No amount of wiggling seems to get them to stick together. Can't see anything that would be stopping it from moving. Hope that makes sense (I am cpt_glovals buddy, he is indisposed at the moment)
thanks

are the input shafts different diameters, (I think the are) then the pilot bearings might be different sized also.

It should mate up. Only thing is you will need the tailshaft housing from a FC tranny. But the engine side should go together like normal. If you are trying to line them up while the tranny is in the car, it can sometimes be a super PITA.
