Searched; S4 to S5 turbo conversion?

Wow it feels weird to be a newbie again . Like it says in the title, I already searched
for this - and couldnt find any specific "what to buy" thread. My s4 turbo is leaking
right now, and rather than just rebuild it, I'd rather upgrade it to the s5 setup. I've
heard of this being done, but havent found any specifics on how to do it. I'm
relatively new to the rotary scene (my other car is a modded '91t Supra), so any
help is appreciated.

1) remove s4 turbo and manifold
2) install s5 turbo and manifold
3) drink

j/k

externally, they're about the same, so once you get your s4 stuff off, the s5 stuff will bolt right on.

one noteworthy thing is the s5 wastegate actuator has a lighter spring, so if you don't have a boost controller, your boost will actually go down (unless you're creeping)
just as long as you use both the turbo and manifold, no other mods should be needed.

haha maybe that's why it was so hard to find an answer!
What are the advantages to using the s5 setup? The boost creep on
the s4 turbos is due to the small wastegate port right?
BTW thanks for the quick reply, think I'm gonna like it here

the wastegate is a little bigger and the exhaust a/r is a littler bigger so you might get 3-4 extra hp out of the thing.

IMO, it's not worth spending money on as an "upgrade", but if youre turbo is toast anyway, it'll be a fine replacement.

And your choice of beer may be important as well. So don't forget to check on that too.
