Definitely do a search around the site, maybe re-post in the 3rd gen section.

If you want my opinion, do not buy a 3rd gen at all. GEt a 1st gen with a turbo.

but i love the look of the 3rd gen so sleek imo and only my opinion the gen 1 and 2 look very dated

Yea, but does "decent sum of money" include maintenance costs?

Figure $10,000 for a decent 3rd gen, more for a well modded one (think $18,000+).

You can get a 2nd gen turbo for $2000-$3000.

Now, if you can work on your own car, they're not *that* expensive to keep running. If not, they're annoyingly expensive, and many shops don't know how to work on a rotary engine.

Based on your lack of punctuation and your apparent impatience, I would tend to believe you are pretty young and most likely will not have the means nor be willing to put forth the effort to keep the car in a good, drivable condition.
I suggest you learn to use the SEARCH button on the top of the page and come back after doing some research when you have more specific questions.

No me gusta como hables. No hablamos ingles aqui.

Search the 3rd Gen section for the info you are looking for. I'm pretty sure it has been discussed multiple times just like it has been on specific car forums (honda/mitsu/toyota.....).
