Burning Oil!

hey I have a 86 n/a with 140k miles on it. When I first got the car the guy told me that it had a small oil leak and it only smokes for a minute or two when you first start the car. Well that was the case for the first month or so I had it. Then I went away for about 4 days, and the car wasnt run during that time. When I came back and started it, bad news. It wouldnt idle, and when i reved the engine MASS amounts of oil smoke started pouring out the exhaust. I kept on doing this for about 30-40 minutes last night, and it never stopped coming out. I figured there was just lots of oil in the combustion chamber or somewhere, and I would have to keep running it to burn it all out. What do you guys think I should do? Suggestions? Comments? PLEASE HELP!!! - Chris
