bolts in place of oil injectors?

I removed my emissions and was going to run premix. But could never find out what to do about the oil injectors? Is it ok just to buy some bolts that fit and torque them down in there? Is there any length I should watch for or anything negative to this? Should I do another method?

Thanks.

I got lucky. I ran across some automatic tranny flex plate to torque convertor bolts that were the perfect length. At least I think that's where they came from. They look similar to flex plate to counterweight bolts, but a bit shorter. Unfortunately the flex plate to counterweight bolts are a tad too long for this application without an ugly stack of washers or shortening the threaded part and risk damaging the threads.

Your best bet would be to contact a rotary shop because they usually have lots of bolts kicking around if they've been in the bizz for a decade or two.

Cool thanks for the info. I got bolts that thread all the way in, just wasnt sure if they would seal it right or if I should just leave the oil injectors in and cap both ends..

Thanks again

Maybe leave the oil injectors in. The ultra short 1mm x 1.25 bolts I used just needed a stock copper crush washer from the oil injector to complete the sealing. I wouldn't trust the bottom of the bolt to seal against the brass(?) insert in the rotor housings.

If you leave the injectors in, its open to atmosphere without being attached to its pump. I used bolts to fill the holes. I believe I used the bolts that Jeff20B was talking about. I did the auto to manual swap and used the bolts that used to hold the flex plate to the torque converter. I threaded them in and started the engine. I noticed fuel puddling up around the bottom of the bolt, so to get them to seal, I used a high temp RTV on the threads. Haven't had a problem with it since then, and this was a year ago or more.

I used the following parts from MazdaTrix - 4 of 'em fit right in. I used blue Locktite to seal them & make sure they didn't wander off.

19-064A-FT01.....BOLT SE HSG+TORQ CON..PLUGS OIL INJ HOLE..... $ 3.18

M10x 1.25 bolts (at least on a s5 n/a) cut them to the length of the oil injector thread (minus the banjo bolt part) and used rtv red on the threads

I used the stock ones but shortened to the banjo and weld shut.

$3+ each?!??!
You gotta be kidding me??!??!

I just bought a set of four from Home Depot for 50 cents EACH!
Granted, they are a little longer than needed (for the primaries) at 20mm(?), but with a coating or RTV or PST, they won't leak.

Bend over by Mazdatrix again...
