Bad Start Up Issues
What's up everyone, been a while since I've posted a thread, thought I'd turn to the community here to help me figure out a start up issue. I'll do my best to give as much context and detail as possible.
Oct 4th I was driving on a wet road down the fwy, it was raining but not too crazy. I hit some water patches at one point but seemed to make it through just fine. 6-7 miles later, my FC just completely drops power. Basically goes limp and I coasted off to the shoulder. Shocked, I shut everything down and waited a few minutes, tried starting her up again and nothing, it would just crank.
I checked to hear my fuel pump and it still runs, I also checked for pressure at the line, it still flows fine. Called my wiring guy who also suggested I check my #15 fuse, that looked fine too. Tried to start the car up again, and it still wouldn't fire up.
Got the car towed home, let it sit for two days and got it towed to my friends shop. After delivery, he asked that I try to start the car up again, surprise surprise, it fired up and held idle for about 10 minutes. At this point I was completely confused. I'm running a Haltech Elite 1500, AEM Smart coils and IDX1050 injectors, all brand new parts.
They checked for spark, and that seemed to be one of the symptoms. Spark tends to appear and disappear apparently, checked the plugs, they're not that fouled, but I could pick up a fresh set. They diagnosed it a bit, connected the laptop to the Haltech and didn't see any crazy codes being thrown. Since the car was at the shop, I had them also install my Air Temp sensor to the GReddy elbow since I needed it to get my Dyno Tune in coming weeks. Drove the car home from the shop two days later thinking everything was back to normal, that was a friday night.
Saturday morning, I try starting the car up, nothing. After a few more attempts, it fired up. Got the FC to operating temps, stepped in the gas and got about 200ft before power dropped again. So now I'm just having this back and forth of the FC starting and holding idle, or just not starting at all. Listed steps below taken up to this point, I'm kind of in disbelief, help! :
- Switched Spark plugs to cleaner set
- Checked for codes on Haltech, things seem to be fine
- Had the shop check for proper voltage and signal going to the coils, signal is fine
- Fuel pump is operational
- Car cranks fine, compression seems to still be there
- Battery is good
- Starter is good
Let me know if I may have missed anything, but definitely open to suggestions or if anyone has encountered something similar, thanks!

In all seriousness though, have you checked to make sure the alternator is good? All wires plugged up correctly? Grounded?

As far as checking for ground, we did switch a ground wire by the ECU underneath the carpeting, It was actually pretty damp there the night that I caught that rain puddle on the fwy. So we decided to make sure it was completely dry and move the ground elsewhere. Hence it firing up as I left the garage and drove away two days later.
I should also make sure my battery is at full charge when replacing that alternator as well yeah? And recommended alt's out there for a 13B-T?

Fuel Pressure
Question: What exactly should my fuel pressure be between the fuel tank and the fuel filter? I have had some power issues w/ my 88' GX and hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and got a reading of 32 psi. Not sure if that is good or bad...
