Well, there have been several MPG threads in the 2nd gen forum lately... I suggest looking there.

Basically, make sure everything's running properly. Full tuneup, injector cleaning, new O2 sensor, new plugs/wires, and then check the ECU for trouble codes - if it's not getting proper data from one or more sensors, it will go into failsafe mode (assume certain "safe" values) and generally suck at fuel economy.

Also, how are you driving it? If you're constantly at WOT/boost (say, track use), then this might be normal...

For reference, I get ~300 mi/tank on my 88 SE (non-turbo) during highway driving.
