Bad clutch problem

My 1987 RX7 non-turbo recently gave me a bad clutch problem. When i go into 1st gear to get the car going, or go into reverse, the clutch pedal stays pressed down, and disengages. I have to physically put my toes under the pedal and lift it back up. While it's stuck down there, the car is also stuck in gear. I have replaced the master and slave cylinders, but the problem still persists. Anyone know what's wrong?

Either you have a defective clutch master or slave, or there is still air trapped in the system.

Clutch system is bleed just like the brakes, but without the pumping. If either the master or slave goes out, I prefer replaceing both and the hose, they're 20 years old, it's time.
