altenator sqeakings

I beleive its the altenator bearing. Do I have to buy a new one or can i have the bearing replaced??? what does it cuase the get the bearing replaced??? Also what does it ouase to get the whole thing replaced(altenator)??

Pretty sure it's the bearings. Replacing them would be much cheaper than replacing the alternator. Hard to say what it would cost, too many factors involved. Evev if u chose to have the alternator rebuild, it would still be cheaper than a replacement. Probably 20-30 to do the bearings and 50-80 to rebuild the whole thing. It cost me 75 to have one rebuilt for a '92 3.3L Caravan.
