What is the purpose of the two hoses coming from the air pump? I've got the one connected to the intake manifold, which is on the hard-to-reach side, but I'm a little unclear about the hose in the front -what's it go to? Also, I'm having a TON of difficulty putting the whole air pump back on the correct way --my bolt holes don't line up. The hose in the front, and other positioning problems prevent this projekt from getting completed
Anyone wanna help me out? Let's get this air pump on!

 

it'd be nice to know what car this is.

on my 88SE there are two valves which are pointing to where they go. one points at the air filter and that's where it goes. The other points at the ACV, and that's where it goes.
