My FD has the very unstable RPM.
they raise and they lower...

It's adjustable. There are two screws that hold it down. Loosen those and adjust away. That is assuming it's in good working order and there are no dead spots in it. If this site is still up they have a factory service manual you can download to outline the procedure and the specs.

iluvmyrx7 went down a while back and no one picked it up or took it over. Check out the link in my sig line. I think there is a 3rd gen FSM in there.
