AEM truboost (no longer) controller

Ok so recently I decided that I would rather have my ECU control my boost so I cut the solenoid off of the truboost controller and spliced it into my ECU(adaptronic select not important here) my plan was to just continue useing the truboost as just a boost gauge since it is still accurate and quick to read (and since I cut out the stock gauge to put this in its place) however now it gives the Er5 message and just flashes red constantly. Checking the manual apparently that is because the solenoid has some form of "PMW or PWM" output at all times so that the controller can sense it,

My question is, is there a way to either disable it in the gauge(long shot) or some way of dummy loading a "pmw" with a resistor of some sort because if I just connect the 2 wires it will detect it as a short and get me nowhere, any ideas?
