Question on stiffer control arm bushings

I'm thinking about replacing the front control arm bushings on my 90 GXL. I'm currently running stock rubber bushings that are about 7 years old. Atkins Rotary sells competition bushings that are 40% stiffer than stock. I'm wondering how much more road noise would be transmitted into my car with these stiffer bushings? Any other feedback on these stiffer rubber bushings? Thanks!

Since they're still rubber, you probably won't notice any additional noise. Even poly bushings won't transmit any more road noise (but they will squeak like mad).
What you'd notice is more feedback through the steering wheel, but again, we're talking only 40% so any difference will be negligible.

Ok...I ordered the bushings. We'll give them a try. Anyway, they cost about $40 less than the stock rubber bushings.

The competition bushings are great for stiffer bushings with no real draw backs.
