Question 88 rx7 will not start

hey everyone im a new member to this forum i just reasently purchased a 88gxl rx-7 non running the guy said it ran but then wen he got it home it wouldnt start?? so i bought it anyways WHY?? it has 140,xxx miles and good maintanence records but it wont seem to start it just turns over and over and makes a loud buzzing noise from the altanator slash injector area???its my first rx7 and i wanna see if i can save it the car is also on a real steep hill and it hasnt ran since febuary is it any steps ineed to go through before i get it started?? what is the buzzing for??? id appreciate any addvice and please no flamming im a newbie in the whole rotary area thanks youguys

welcome to the board.

start simple. make sure the battery is fully charged. confirm compression, fuel supply and spark. you may want to also try some new plugs. maybe get a can of Seafoam, too.

buzzing from the alternator???

not exactly from the altanator more like the manifold injectors area behind the altanator ??? do you know wat the buzzing is?? maybe old gas?

That may be the the sound of the BAC idle speed control if it is sticky it sounds like a pair of hair clippers, very quite ones.

i figured it out my coils arent given any kinda spark atall so prob need new ones

you guys can CLOSE THIS THREAD i got a rx-7 guy to look at it it was flooded badly cause i had a old shitty battery and he started it !!!!!!!! dude i got this car for 200 dollars i will post pics also!!!!! thanks alot youguys BOOSTUP@!!!!
