86 FC cranks, but wont start... need help

I have a 1986 rx7, when i first got it I started up and it was smoking a bit and couldn't really idle on its own without someone giving a little bit of gas. Now after sitting for these past couple of months of winter I tried to start it and no luck, it will turn and turn but nothing goin. I changed the plugs, put new gas in and just other things here and there but nothing. Is there any recommendations? I am fairly new to the whole rotary engine thing and almost have no clue what to do with it? I think it may be flooded from hopeful starts after checking tiny things here and there. Any help?

Well first check your fuel and spark. If you have both of those do a compression check. One of those will be your problem. Do a search and there will a large amount of info on how to unflood a rotary.
