4 Rotor Beast
i am building a 4 rotor, twin turbo(T04's), engine, i am going to be running as much boost as possible i am told i can go from 40-65 psi, but i am wonder what type of apex seals to use i have looked threw searches but i have found nothing, i am thinking of either 3mm ceramic or 3mm steel, probly 2 peice, is there such thing as 1 peice?

ok i have 2 T04 .81 turbos, could you possibly lead me in the direction as to where i might be able to find these seals, i was told that would be the best as to i am running PP post aswell, we built it just to test it out running 2 piece steel and we drove the car without turbos for 5000 miles at low then high rmp's, we dynoed it without turbos at a hair over 600 hp at 12,000 and just shy of 550 ft.lbs torque, we then ran it with both turbos at 20 psi for about 250 miles, dynoed it was putting out close to 1000 hp at 13,000, we then uped it to 30 which was a large mistake dynoed it and pooff smook and flames, and apex seals were gone , so that is what brought up the question.

I would be more concerned about what caused the seals to fail in the first place. Your problem isn't the seals. Stock Mazda seals have been proven in the 30+ psi range with proper tuning. Lots of drag cars run them. You odviously have another problem that needs to be fixed. Ceramics can fail also in this psi range and will cause butt loads of damage if they fail. Did the engine lean out?
